Crowning Mary with flowers is a special devotion to our Blessed Virgin Mother. Come early before the 11 am & 1 pm Masses on Sunday, May 3. Please bring fresh flowers to place before Mary. We will process in at the beginning of Mass, then after Mary is crowned with a wreath of flowers, all will go to their seats for the remainder of Mass. This is for all ages.

The Knights will serve breakfast in the social hall at 8 am, cleaning outside and inside the church will begin about 8:30. Tenebrae Service in the church at 7 PM. The Evening Prayer is said while candles are extinguished one by one. The last one is hidden, symbolizing Jesus’ burial.

Our bilingual Mass on Holy Thursday, April 17, commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples and marks the first day of the Triduum. There is no morning Mass. During Mass, everyone is invited to have their feet washed and to wash the feet of another. Families with children should wash each other’s feet. All are invited to pray before the Blessed Sacrament after Mass at the Altar of Repose. It will be in the social hall until 10 pm.................................. Nuestra Misa bilingüe del Jueves Santo, 17 de abril, conmemora conmemora la Última Cena de Jesús con sus discípulos y marca el primer día del Triduo. No hay Misa matutina. Durante la misa, se invita a todos a que les laven los pies y a lavarse los pies a otros. Las familias con niños deben lavarse los pies mutuamente. Todos están invitados a rezar ante el Santísimo Sacramento después de la Misa en el Altar de Reposo. La misa se celebrará en el salón social hasta las 10:00 p.m.

No Mass or service Friday morning. There is a rosary in the church at 12:15 PM. Living Stations of the Cross are at St. Thomas More, WSU at 3 PM. Meet at Sacred Heart at 2:30 PM to walk there. A half hour children's Good Friday service with veneration of the cross, a short version of the Passion, and Holy Communion, is at 6:30 PM. The traditional service with the reading of the Passion, veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion, is at 7:30 p.m. There are also Good Friday services at Regency Pullman at 11 AM (please note time change) and Bishop Place at 3 PM. For children through age 9. Be at the parish library no later than 11 a.m. Please bring a container for your eggs. If it rains or snows the hunt will be indoors (toddlers always hunt inside). Everyone is encouraged to attend our Lenten Penance Service and Adoration at 6 pm Thursday, April 3, in the church. There will an opportunity for individual confessions.

Help Sacred Heart and other churches save clothes, food, bedding and other material from being thrown away by dorm students. We will collect from three dorms at WSU, May 7-8. We will go once a day to pick up and bring the material to Sacred Heart. It will be sorted and distributed to agencies such as Boost, Pioneer Center, Family Promise and refugees. You can sign up for a time by contacting Francy Bose at 509-332-5114.

Please join us for Prayer, Bread & Soup. each Wednesday during Lent. We pray the Stations of the Cross in the church at 6 pm, followed by a supper of bread and soup in the social hall. All are invited to our Fish Fry on Friday, February 20, March 6 & 20, 6-7 pm. The Knights will serve delicious deep fried fish, French fries, coleslaw and mac 'n cheese. Bring a friend! Everyone is invited to a pancake breakfast in the social hall, after the 8:30 Mass, Sunday, February 23. Donations will go to Pullman Schools Food Pantries. A delicious start to your day, brought to you by the Knights of Columbus.

Mardi Bras 2025: This collection in Whitman & Latah counties focuses on the dignity of women impacted by poverty. If you can, please bring new bras, undergarments, socks, feminine hygiene or general hygiene items and put them in the bins in the social hall. The items will be donated to Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse. The collection ends on Mardi Gras (Tuesday, March 4.).......Mardi Bras 2025: esta colección en los condados de Whitman y Latah se centra en la dignidad de las mujeres afectadas por la pobreza. Si puede, traiga sujetadores, ropa interior, calcetines, artículos de higiene femenina o de higiene general nuevos y coloquelos en los contenedores del salón social. Please put your old dried palms in the basket at the church entrance by Sunday, February 11. They will be burned and the ashes will be used on Ash Wednesday........Por favor traiga sus viejas ramas de palma y póngalas en la canasta en la entrada de la iglesia antes del 11 de febrero. The Anointing of the Sick will take place during all Masses February 8 & 9. Please feel free to bring a support person with you if needed. We will reserve pews in the front of the church for those who need the Sacrament, or you may come forward.
