February 8 is the Anniversary of BSA America, started in 1910, based on the program started by Lord Baden Powell in England on August 1, 1907. Please wear your scout uniform to the 8:30 am Mass on Sunday, February 8.

Blessing of candles on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, February 2: When Jesus was brought to the temple Simeon was there, and he took Jesus in his arms and said that Jesus would be a light. The church candles will be blessed by Deacon Jim at 7 AM. You may bring your own candles to the service to be blessed......... Bendición de velas en la Fiesta de la Presentación del Señor o Día de la Candelaria el 2 de febrero. Cuando Jesús fue llevado al templo, Simeón estaba allí; lo tomó en sus brazos y dijo que Jesús sería una luz. Las velas de la iglesia serán bendecidas por el Diácono Jim a las 7:00 AM. Pueden traer sus propias velas al servicio para que sean bendecidas.

Dinners for Eight is a great way to get to know your church family better. This is for all adults—couples, singles, and friends. You go to dinner once a month for four months, in January, February, March, and April, in different homes, with different people. You host once, and take salad or dessert the other months. The social hall is available for hosting. ALL ADULTS are welcome! Deadline to sign up is January 11. Sign-up by clicking the picture, or use the sheet in the church entrance or social hall.
